**Job Summary and Qualifications**:
As the Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate quality initiatives and clinical performance improvement. These initiatives and programs may be disease specific and may include Core Measures, physician peer review, national data registries, OPPE/FPPE, and special projects. You will learn and perform additional duties within the Quality Management department that assist with critical needs, staff shortages, and/or holiday coverage. You will participate in providing patient specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- You will ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and evidence based standards
- You will evaluate hospital performance in comparison to standards/requirements (i.e. Core Measures, Stroke, STS, and CathPCI)
- You will perform daily concurrent review and retrospective reviews as needed to ensure compliance with evidence based measures
- You will utilize quality improvement methodologies to facilitate improvement initiatives
- You will organize and conduct interdisciplinary team meetings and serve as a resource to physicians, nurses, educators, and leaders on evidence based measures
- You will coordinate with nursing staff and hospital leaders to establish and implement standardized, evidence based processes/protocols

**What qualifications you will need**:

- 1-3 years
- Two years acute care hospital experience and one or more years’ experience with performance improvement
- Extensive knowledge of Physician Performance Improvement.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
