The Parts Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager and is responsible for performing a range of tasks in and around Zimmerman Plumbing & Heating, Inc. property with occasional onsite support to technicians. All work should be completed in a professional manner upholding the core values and vision of ZPH.

**Basic Function**:
The basic function of the Parts Coordinator is to keep the warehouse inventory accurate; order inventory as needed, provide job pricing, oversee parts personnel, and get the materials ready for field personnel.

**Summary of Duties**:
This position requires an individual who is independent, adaptable, dependable, and who possesses initiative within the scope of his/her experience. The ability to effectively communicate with all fellow staff, customers and vendors. Representative duties include:

- Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse
- Assist with the management of physical inventory
- Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks
- Maintain regular communication with the office and field staff
- Utilize and understand company dispatching software
- Be proficient with basic computer programs like Microsoft products
- Receive and restock products from suppliers and ensure quantities are maintained
- Order equipment and material for stock, trucks and jobs
- Make sure all materials and equipment for jobs are staged in the warehouse prior to the job installation date
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of company tools and supplies
- Maintenance and general upkeep of ZPH property
- Perform job duties without direct oversight or assistance
- Pick-up and delivery of materials when required
- Maintaining a professional appearance through company provided uniforms and recommended attire set forth in company handbook.
- Adherence to ZPH handbook, policies, and procedures
- Performing related duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, or President
- Process equipment and material returns and warranty claims

Working hours are typically between 7 a.m. and 5p.m. Monday through Friday with the understanding that hours can fluctuate; some afterhours may be required. Schedules will be determined at the time of hire.

This position is primarily in an office-like environment and requires regular work on a computer. Some work in the warehouse as needed and occasionally on jobsites. Some driving to job sites and suppliers as needed. Is exposed to driving hazards, inclement weather, and extreme temperatures when out of the office. Adherence to Safety Policy and Driving Safety Policy is vital.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Good verbal and written skills and to clearly communicate with staff, customers, and vendors
- Physical ability to perform all duties noted above and able to work safely in any weather condition found in Central Pennsylvania.
- Current driver’s license and the ability to operate all fleet vehicles within 30 days of initial employment. Incumbent must be insurable by current ZPH insurance carrier.
- Able to represent ZPH in a professional manner at all times
- Manages time well
- Individual must be adaptable with changing work environments, high demand, delays or unexpected events
- Must pass initial background check, physical, and drug test prior to hire. And participate in on-going random drug tests. This is a tobacco-free workplace.
