**Job Summary**

The **Loss Analysis Manager** oversees the Loss Analysis team of specialists and ensures that all reconciliation and financial analysis processes are in place on an array of servicing transactions to mitigate losses. The incumbent will closely partner with management and influence operations to reduce expenses and optimize recoveries.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversees day to day management of Loss Analysis team to ensure individual and department productivity and accuracy goals are met.
- Manages the reconciliation and loss analysis determining reasons for unrecovered expenses. Works with Default Management departments attempt recovery of losses.
- Oversees review of all Corporate Advance transactions as a whole ensuring accurate posting and timely recovery.
- Responsible for the overall training and development of staff and implementation of processes and tools to achieve objectives.
- Updates policies and procedures as necessary when guidelines change.
- Works with the other Default and Operation managers to facilitate communication and ensure efficiency across all of Servicing.
- Prepares reporting for senior management.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**Position Requirements**

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and equivalent work experience required

Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in mortgage loan accounting and/or mortgage servicing operations
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory position within a Loss Analysis function
- Working experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting servicing guides
- Experience with process improvement and system implementation

Functional/Technical Skills
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Strong mathematical skills
- Detail oriented with ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Displays strong organizational skills and manages time effectively.
- Ability to solve problems with a sense of urgency by recognizing opportunities, understanding risk and acting quickly to overcome obstacles and reach a solution.
- Knowledge of default management guidelines of mortgage investors including FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA, FHA, mortgage insurance programs and assistance programs such as HAF.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and distribute workload for optimum efficiency
- Ability to act and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Knowledge of MSP servicing system a plus
