Transportation Coordinator

Avenidas Senior Center has an opening for a 20 hour/week Coordinator position which oversees Avenidas’ Door to Door Program. This is an afternoon position from 12-4, working in tandem with a morning coordinator.

**Essential Job Functions**

**Door-to-Door**
- Handle daily operations of transportation and grocery delivery program.
- Communicate with volunteer drivers and paid driver position(s)
- Lyft: schedule on-demand and rides that are scheduled ahead on Lyft concierge platform; monitor live rides; communicate with drivers, report issues to Lyft, pay invoices, complete monthly report for accounting.
- Clients & family representatives: maintain client records in ActiveNet, handle monthly billing cycle in QuickBooks, provide reminder calls to clients with cognitive issues, work with designated family members on scheduling, status of rides, billing and issues of client decline.
- Provide monthly statistics for Door to Door and volunteer hours.

**Secondary Job Functions**
- Work closely with other programs: Care Partners, Enhanced Care Management, Rose Kleiner, Avenidas Village, Rainbow Collective to ensure other needs are met for clients to remain safely in their homes; communicate with social work staff on clients experiencing decline or needing additional resources, under direction of manager.
- As needed, drive clients and fulfill grocery requests when paid driver, volunteers or Lyft is not possible.
- Use QuickBooks to enter client payments, run reports and work with finance team on projects when needed.
- Conduct satisfaction surveys with clients.
- Provide general information and outreach about D2D.
- If possible, cover morning shift when morning coordinator is out.
- Work on additional projects when needed at the direction of manager.

**Qualifications**
- At least five years’ experience in customer service.
- Must have car, driver’s license, proof of insurance, clean driving record and flexibility to drive.
- Experience working in transportation and with older adults in a social services/non-profit environment preferred.
- He or she will have excellent communication skills, a collaborative work style and strong tech skills to handle data, tracking, statistics, scheduling, etc.

**Physical Demands**
- Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a computer; use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
- Occasionally reach/work above shoulders, twist/bend/stoop/squat, grasp forcefully, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds, write by hand, sort/file paperwork.
- Assisting clients in and out of a car and handling mobility devices (no wheelchairs)
- Carrying groceries, purses or lifting other items for clients

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
