**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Internal Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to join our team. The job requirements will include performing basic bookkeeping tasks required for a small but very busy General contracting firm. In addition to bookkeeping tasks, the position will include basic office assistant tasks. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development.

**Duties**:

- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with basic accounting tasks such as processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports
- Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Quicken,) to track financial transactions and generate reports
- Support the office team by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel accommodations
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Assist with special projects or events as assigned

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in an office administration or assistant role preferred
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles (GAAP) and financial concepts
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
