**Responsibilities**:
The Medical Billing Specialist (“MBS”) is responsible for the lifecycle of ABC’s medical billing; collecting, organizing, and billing of medical claims & services produced by ABC’s wide range of behavioral (and soon physical) health programs. This includes ensuring data integrity throughout the billing process, reconciliations at the beginning and end of the billing process, and claims resolution.
The MBS will work directly with the behavioral health programs, the Fiscal department, and leadership positions to ensure transparency and accountability for the health programs. This role also includes reporting and analyses of various medical billing KPI's to further develop the program-financial model as well as monitoring productivity levels within these programs.
The MBS will report directly to ABC's Chief Financial Officer and will be a part of ABC's Fiscal Department.
- *This person, though fully remote, must perform the necessary clearances upon hire so that they have the ability to attend meetings, albeit limited, in-person when needed at our offices in Manhattan._
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Computer proficiency and comfort using technology.
- Quick-learner and organized
- Preferable - previous skills in medical billing
