Position Overview:
- Proficient understanding of ECW - EClinicalWorks and familiarity with outpatient internal medicine or family medicine ICD/CPT codes is essential.
- Completion of an accredited coding program along with an active coding certification (CPC and/or CCS) is required.
- A minimum of three years of coding experience and expertise in ICD-CM and CPT coding standards is necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients to clarify billing inquiries, prepare necessary documentation for insurance claims, and collect vital client information.
- Assist fellow Medical Billers in addressing client follow-up questions.
- Support clients in navigating the insurance claims process through various platforms.
- Timely management and filing of all required insurance forms.
- Guide patients through billing and insurance processes while ensuring comprehensive documentation.
- Accurately enter billing and payment information into the system.
- Diligently monitor client communications and payment statuses.
- Manage phone inquiries, take messages, and maintain confidentiality at all times.
