- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct them to the appropriate person
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update records as necessary
- Handle patient registration and check-in/check-out processes
- Coordinate and manage patient referrals
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Adhere to confidentiality and privacy policies in handling patient information
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth functioning of the medical office
- Establish processes to ensure efficient systems to meet the needs of patients

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a medical administrative assistant or receptionist in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
