We currently have an opening for a Biometrics Business Development Director. This position reports to the Vice President of System Solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Proactively interfaces with customers and partners to identify, qualify and capture new business opportunities.
- Identifies, evaluates and pursues partnerships and alliances leading to new business.
- Leads market analysis, monitors competitive intelligence and identifies customer needs within their respective business area.
- Generate capture plans for strategically or financially significant opportunities.
- Direct the updates to and review the opportunity forecast for their respective business areas on a regular basis.
- Leads in the preparation of internal pursuit reviews and external proposals to include competitive assessments, customer hot buttons and win themes, price-to-win strategies, etc.
- Market analysis, development of the marketing communications strategy.
- Oversees Tradeshows/customer visit coordination and execution.
- By example, set the standards that embody the TDSI Core Value & Thales Leadership Model.
- Maintain a high ethical standard of practice, including compliance with all company policies, procedures, practices and guidelines.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's operating policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; performance appraisals, rewarding and providing for employee discipline when required; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Active mentoring and development of staff is critical element of the supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors in Computer Science/related degree or other equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in biometrics operations and/or industries, at least 10 years of experience within Department of Defense biometrics strategies is desired.
- Strong background in biometrics software and hardware products.
- Domain experience in Biometrics modalities, data structure and integration
- Experience in military biometrics/forensics exploitation systems for intelligence.
- Excellent English communication skills - written and oral.
- An affinity and inclination to obtain a strong understanding of the technical aspects of solutions with the purpose of being able to translate those capabilities into solving business/mission problems.
- Skilled and willing/motivated to prospect aggressively to customer targets of all levels.
- Comfortable being an active participant in highly technical discussions, and able to collaboratively work with biometrics engineers to ensure that business goals are achieved.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and be a self-starter, yet also to work functionally within a small, close-knit virtual team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
- Ability to travel up to ~80% of time locally and domestically.
- Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
