Staff Development Director also oversees administration of Employee Health/Infection Control Programs. Reports to the Director of Human Resources.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Organizes and provides training in New Employee Orientation.Develops and coordinates yearly staff requirement schedule.Supervises and directs the efforts of the Staff Education Coordinator and Clinical Educator. Manages employee time, attendance, and work performance.Informs employees of training opportunities.Ensures competencies, certifications, and licensure are maintained as required by employee.Ensures proper maintenance of staff development equipment (CPI equipment, videos, etc.). May serve as a CPI instructor and/or assists others in the same with new employee orientees and for recertification of existing employees.Assists with internal training (i.e., development, coordination, presentation).Tracks monthly satisfaction of employee training.Tracks CEU offerings (internal) for reporting to required boards.Arranges external trainings to enhance the educational opportunities of clinical staff as needed.Prepares annual education plan by job description and department.Prepares education plans for performance improvement objectives.Develops remedial training as needed.Develops training as needs are identified for organization, department, individual. Prepares quarterly reports as required on Staff Development metrics.Prepares reporting on Infection Control and Employee Health metricsEnsure compliance with Employee/ Health and Infection Control Requirements.Assists with recruiting and onboarding of new employeesCompletes pre-employment health clearanceAssists in employee and patient incident investigations and subsequent corrective action.Supports Human Resources Department as needed.
