**Description**:
The Visual and Performing Arts Dept. has one full-time (1.0 FTE), 10-month vacancy for a Central Office Resource Teacher Dance.

The VAPA Dance Resource Teacher supports and advocates for the teaching of Dance as an

**Examples of Duties**:
The Central Office Resource Teacher's duties include:

- Supports district dance specialists in their classrooms through coaching, modeling and
development of curriculum resources.
- Supports VAPA programs in the schools such as VAPA Enrichment, the Arts Education Project, and Title One-funded arts integration programs.
- Helps to maintain the dance course catalog through the updating, writing and implementation of dance course descriptions and accompanying resources.
- Works with community dance organizations so that district students may receive enhanced dance experiences and instruction, and teachers may receive professional development and inspiration.
- Works as a member of the VAPA Department team to implement the district’s Strategic Arts Education Plan.
- Additional duties as assigned
