**The opportunity**:
As a Case Associate, you will be a member of the Group Benefits Claims Shared Services team working on short term disability claims, with a specific focus on claim setup. This position will primarily be a production role, requiring the ability to regularly manage a high volume of tasks, adjust priorities when based on the impact to our clients and effectively manage time.

**How you will contribute**:

- Review of new STD documents
- Sets up new STD claims in Ultera and CHESS claim systems.
- Assignment of Eligibility Tasks to the appropriate claims examiner based on pre-determined criteria
- Ability to identify complex diagnoses and to label these claims accordingly
- Monitors and reports on new claim inventory levels
- Able to meet production goals on a consistent basis
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and identify errors for correction
- Effectively communicate the claim status or request information from employees, employers, or doctors, and can accurately address any questions or concerns with confidence
- Establishes excellent relationship with claim organization
- Assist in special project work or other duties as defined by the needs of the business
- Maintains high levels of customer service with internal and external customers
- Willingness to cross-train on all Front-End operations responsibilities
- Critical thinking skills, high degree of accuracy, quality work products, ability to multi-task and maintain a high production pace and focus.
- Written and verbal communication skills to communicate with various departments.

If you are a California resident, the salary range for this position is:

- Southern California region: $51,100 - $69,000 annually
- Central California region: $53,800 - $72,600 annually
- Northern California region: $57,500 - $77,600 annually

If you are a Minnesota, Colorado or Nevada resident, the salary range for this position is $48,700 - $65,700 annually.

If you are a Connecticut or Maryland resident, the salary range for this position is $51,100 - $69,000 annually

If you are Washington or Rhode Island resident, the salary range for this position is $53,800 - $72,600 annually

If you are a New York resident, the salary range for this position is $57,500 - $77,600 annually

We consider various factors in determining actual pay including your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to salary, this position is eligible for incentive awards based on individual and business performance
