**Job Description** Position Summary**:
The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Division Director, HR- and will be responsible for the ITW GSE manufacturing and office location as the location HR leader. The HR Generalist provides input to the design of talent management programs with an emphasis on implementation including recruitment, coaching for performance, performance management, employee relations, promoting an engaged culture and learning & development. This person will actively participate as a member of the HR team to identify, recommend, develop and implement HR programs and practices that deliver required results in support of the overall Division goals. Liaises with other HR colleagues within the Division, Segment and Enterprise and manages special projects as needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Works closely with management and team members to drive and sustain culture initiatives that focus on engaged employees, positive work environment, increased productivity and retention.
- Maintains ongoing, up-to-date knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations. Educates and informs managers and employees on current labor laws and business impact. Ensures compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Maintains employee information, personnel records, and HR files. Processes employee data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Responsible for biweekly timesheet submissions
- Identifies common trends and issues related to individual development needs among employees and partners with management and line staff to develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Supports local safety initiatives with Safety and OSHA compliance and helps Palmetto location on their journey to interdependency in safety.
- Manages leave of absence programs and workers Compensation claims.
- Conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations into employee relations issues. Forward escalated issues to Division Director.
- Looks for continuous improvement opportunities of historical programs or simplifying HR processes using the ITW Toolbox.
- Facilitates the performance management and compensation process for non-exempt and exempt employees in Palmetto.
- Active member of the Safety Team
- Active member of the Employee Engagement Team (events/celebrations/welcomes)
- Assist in meeting planning (as needed)
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees based on trust and credibility.
- Ensures positive company image.
