**Core Responsibilities**:

- **Reporting and Analysis**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain standard and ad-hoc reports to support critical business functions and decision-making.
- Design and deliver insightful dashboards and visualizations to stakeholders, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Focus on operational metrics, including track testing locations, testing dates, technologies used, detected defects, and their locations and types.
- Support multiple levels of decision-making, from contract proposals and negotiations to P&L analysis at customer and department levels.
- **Customer Portal Management**:

- Lead the set-up, enhancement, and maintenance of customer portals for real-time data access and reporting.
- Ensure portals are user-friendly, secure, and provide necessary functionalities to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with IT and customer service teams to improve portal features based on feedback.
- **Financial Reporting**:

- Configure and automate data pulls from the X3 ERP system for comprehensive financial reporting.
- Develop financial models and reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Integrate financial metrics with operational dimensions (e.g., EBITDA per mile) and ensure accurate financial recording linked to customers and test units.
- **Logistic and Operational Reporting**:

- Create and maintain logistic reports for managing a dispersed field service workforce.
- Analyze logistics data to optimize field operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to implement data-driven operational improvements.
- **Development and Maintenance of Business Utilities**:

- Oversee the development and maintenance of core business utilities, including proprietary billing and CRM systems, time clock punch simulators, and multiple customer web portals.
- Ensure these utilities are reliable, efficient, and support business operations effectively.
- Manage integration components with systems like ADP for seamless operation.
- **Data Management and Governance**:

- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Manage data warehousing and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve BI capabilities.
- **Team Leadership and Development**:

- Lead and mentor a team of business intelligence analysts, developers, and data professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Develop and manage the BI department’s budget and resources.
- **Resource Assessment and Strategic Planning**:

- Conduct ongoing assessment of resources in both talent and tools to scale the BI function for future growth.
- Identify and implement new BI tools and technologies to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Ensure the BI team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources to meet evolving business needs.
- **Nontraditional BI Responsibilities**:

- Manage the development and maintenance of proprietary business utilities, including customer billing and CRM systems.
- Oversee the creation and support of operational support tools for the Analysis, Service Integrity, and Equipment Maintenance teams.

**Qualifications - Must Haves**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
- Proficiency with BI tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and experience with data integration.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with customer portal development and maintenance is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

**Qualifications - Desirable**:

- Master’s degree in related field (desirable)
- Specific experience in X3 ERP (desirable)
