**What You'll Do**:
The Account Executive is the ultimate stewardship role. You work closely with a Senior Account Executive and Producer handling marketing and strategy for a book of key small group accounts defined as employer clients with less than 50 enrolled employees. Retention, service, account development, and product/service presentation directly to the client are key duties. The Account Executive will report to the Senior Account Executive.

**Essential Functions**:

- Manage client communications for small group clients, nurturing key relationships, and keep track of all necessary documentation, while paying close attention to any policy changes, important deadlines, and legal regulations.
- Communicate to small group clients about their coverage, assist them with any claims issues as needed, and ensure all relevant data is properly tracked in our secured systems.
- Request and track client renewals from insurance vendors and create market analysis options for the client to review.
- Maintain platform and process expertise with the firm’s software systems (e.g., Zywave, Employee Navigator, PerfectQuote).
- Maintain a high level of security and confidentiality related to corporate and client information.
- Consult with small group clients to help process quotes and issue renewals and updates.
- Create and maintain wrap documents and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD’s) upon client renewal.
- Manage new small group client files with historical, renewal, and sold plan and rate history within agency management system.
- Compose renewal, award, and termination notices to carriers.
- Submit enrollment and administrative requests from clients to insurance vendors.
- Assemble printed proposals and presentations for Producer, as necessary.
- Assist with new carrier implementation process to include form preparation and document review.
- Remain informed on carrier product updates and offerings and quoting requirements.
- Perform pre-renewal claims review presentations.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- At least 2 years of work experience in a customer-facing or client supportive role in the employee benefits or commercial insurance industry.
- Ability to work with general direction, exercise discretion, and set work priorities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple projects. Attention to detail is critical.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate PC and type 30 WPM.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while working with mínimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record required; must be willing to travel and remain away from home overnight when necessary.
