The Culpepper Garden Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for the first impressions and customer service for every resident and guest entering our special community. Our friendly and active Senior residents keep staff active and engaged. Our building is open 24/7/365 and front desk staff are always on duty. They screen all visitors coming into the building during assigned hours in accordance with established policies and operational procedures. Specifically, the Overnight Receptionist maintains security of the building after hours by monitoring camera systems, front door access and patrolling common areas for exit door checks and other safety and security related items.

We are seeking professional and friendly people who enjoy, serve, and protect our residents.

1. Admits and registers visitors and/or guests into the Facility as outlined in established policies and operational procedures. Greet and provide customer service to Residents, Visitors and Staff. Interact with Residents and visitors in a positive, warm, caring, and friendly manner.

2. Answers telephone and responds quickly to questions and resident reports. Responds to emergency calls and after hours resident incidents.

3. Keeps clean and organized the front desk work areas.

4. Enters work orders as requested by residents. Files work orders as instructed.

5. Maintains positive and effective resident relations, while acting as a liaison between the Administrative Staff and the residents. Coordination and collaboration with team members.

7. Observes and protects residents’ rights including rights to confidentiality, privacy and dignity.

8. Practices safety procedures and complies with established reporting of emergencies, accidents, and injuries.

10. Maintain personal work area/office in a clean, neat, professional, and orderly manner.

11. Processes incoming packages and deliveries for resident pick up.

12. Operates / completes cash transactions.

13. General office duties to be assigned by manager.

**Job requirements**:

- Previous Customer Service experience preferred / Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Answer phones ; assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
- Shall be able to read, write, speak, enunciate clearly, and fully comprehend the English language.
- A can-do attitude; you tackle every task with a smile.
- Team player; you have your team’s back and they have yours.
- Stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 lbs., and continuously bend, reach and twist.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.

Culpepper Garden includes two independent senior living facilities with 267 apartments. Ours is the largest low-income retirement property in the area, and the only one that offers a dining plan.

Our assisted living facility, the first HUD-subsidized, assisted living community in the nation, provides an additional 73 apartments for residents who need 24-hour supportive services and help with activities of daily living.
