Housekeeper for Event Venue

**Saphire Event Group owns and operates four wedding and event venues **on **the South **Shore**. **The primary purpose of this position is to clean and keep the venues in good order through the performance of established job checklists, which include set-ups and maintenance.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
Responsible for the general cleanliness, orderliness and upkeep of the venue to ensure that all areas of the property, inside and out, are in good shape at all times.

**Duties will include**:

- Performing checklist on a daily basis.
- Watering all plants around property, including potted plants and window boxes.
- Carries out upgrade projects of venue in coordination with the Maintenance Manager and as directed by Management.
- Performing basic cleaning tasks including main entrance, courtyard and grounds around property.
- Set-ups and breakdowns of ballrooms and function spaces, as directed.
- Cleaning and maintaining all floors inside and outside including carpets, hardwood floors and tiles.
- Laundering and properly storing house linen.
- Maintaining water fountain to ensure there is enough water.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and restocking of restrooms.
- Properly maintains, stores and keeps in good working order, all tools and supplies for the position.
- Maintaining full inventory of all supplies needed to perform checklists and duties.
- Keeping the venue stocked with basic cleaning and maintenance supplies, as per the established inventory sheet.
- Basic snow removal and winter related labor as required.
- Performing all critical tasks in a manner that complies with our code of ethics.

**Hours**:
Seasonal hours with peak hours from May through November with an average of 40 hours in season and may reduce to 30+ hours in slower months, typically December through April.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time
