Community Supervision Officer

Job Overview:
The Community Supervision Officer is responsible for the maintenance of the Court file of the residents under/her supervision in accordance with Department and Facility Policies. He/She develops and coordinates the resident's program activities during the residential placement.
**Duties**:
- Must meet state requirements for Residential Community Supervision and Corrections Officers as set forth in Standards.
- Acts as primary screening officer for all ne intakes, coordinates all discharges with appropriate jurisdictions.
- Acts as a Facility Liaison with the Court of record
- Prepares and transmits Progress Reports to the Sending Officer.
- Participates in the disciplinary process as a committee member.
- Interact with Direct Care Staff to obtain and share information as it might relate to the resident's adjustment and behavior.
- Be able to conduct Texas Risk Assessment System (TRAS).
- Maintain resident supervision in accordance with CJAD Standards, 321.4
**Skills**:
- Strong background in social work or related field.
- Proficient in case management practices.
- Excellent report writing skills to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to handle crisis situations with composure and empathy.
- Experience in motivational interviewing techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective interviewing and communication.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals' lives while contributing to community safety.
Pay: $45,000.00 per year
