Position Summary

The Head of Marketing Strategy and Communications is tasked with crafting, executing, and supervising comprehensive marketing and communication initiatives aimed at elevating the college's image, supporting its objectives, and engaging a diverse array of stakeholders. This role encompasses the management of branding, media relations, digital outreach, and promotional endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement detailed marketing and communication strategies to highlight the college's offerings, programs, and events.
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, press releases, and digital content.
  • Manage the institution's brand identity, ensuring uniformity across all channels and materials.
  • Collaborate with various academic and administrative departments to address their marketing and communication requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor marketing and communication student interns.
  • Evaluate market trends and audience insights to guide strategic planning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets, serving as the primary contact for press inquiries.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Oversee the college's website and digital presence to guarantee accurate, engaging, and current content.
  • Coordinate public relations activities to enhance the college's visibility and public perception.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Experience:

· At least 5 years of experience leading marketing and communications efforts, preferably in the higher education sector.

· Proven success in developing and executing effective marketing and communication strategies.

· Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and analytics.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.

Skills:

· Strong internal and external communication abilities.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Attention to detail with an understanding of its impact on overall objectives.

· Creativity and a keen eye for design and branding.

· Capability to work with various vendors and user communities with differing technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Demonstrated effective communication at the executive level and experience with regional marketing campaigns.

· Familiarity with customer relationship management platforms.

· Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, with effective planning, implementation, tracking, and reporting methods.

Additional Information:

· Frequent regional travel among the college campuses.

· Occasional state travel with overnight stays.

· Remote work opportunities may be available with supervisor approval.
