- **Location**_: Fredericksburg, VA_
- **Reports To**:_ _Executive Team_
- **Operating Hours**:_ _9a-5p Monday through Friday in office_
- **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:_
**Human Resource Tasks**:
- Maintaining employee records and files accurately.
- Oversee recruitment & onboarding process as needed.
- Handle basic HR inquiries and tasks.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Human Resources Responsible.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files. Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Prepares new-employee files.
- Processes mail.
**Some Bookkeeping/ Accounts Payable & Receivable**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
**Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Required Skills/Abilities**:
- Experience with bookkeeping and finance roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Subject matter expertise in understanding of human resource functions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Excitement & willingness to help others.
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Associate degree in human resources or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience in HR work
- Must meet Angelic Place and funding jurisdiction current requirements for criminal background/records check.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
