Under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) performs a full range of Business Analyst (BA) activities working independently for complex IT systems. The Information Technology Specialist I is responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements, test cases, process flows, and other data essential to defining the scope of work and objectives necessary to meet project goals and to ensure successful deliverance of intended product or service with the specified features and functions within the project scope.

The incumbent will work in a temperature-controlled office environment with an assigned cubicle. Access to the department suite will require a special badge. DIR is currently in a hybrid telework schedule and Incumbent will be required to work on site two days a week.
The incumbent must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times and should establish good working relationships with others.
The incumbent must complete assigned tasks on time.

The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.
