Machinist/press Operator

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specification, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Measure, mark and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
- Ability to read drawings and tape measure accurately.
- Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for whole numbers and fractions.
- Basic understanding of the difference between standard and metric measurements
- Ability to operate band saw, drill press and beveling machines.
- Ability to safely use a cutting torch and grinding equipment.
- Ability to perform basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure in decimals and fractions.
- Able to calculate dimensions and angles.
- Ability to perform basic layout work.
- Experience in use of measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, and rulers.
- As well as height, thread, and pin gages.
- Other duties as may be deemed by management or the lists below.

**REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION**
- 3-5 years of experience or equivalent.
- High school diploma.
- An understanding of machining fundamentals.
- Heavy lifting (frequently 25ilbs +).
- Regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
- Stooping, climbing, and standing.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
