We are seeking an experienced administrative profession for a highly visible role within our prestigious **Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) **at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) as a **Unit Coordinator.**

The **PACU at MGH** is comprised of 6 individual critical care areas dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia. The unit operates 24 hours per day with Anesthesia and Nurse Practitioner medical coverage.

**As a Unit Coordinator, you will...**
- Play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families and medical staff.
- Transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure that the medical treatments and procedures are carried out and order supplies for the unit.
- Acts as the central contact person for the nursing unit; performs transcription, clerical and reception duties; and will become an expert user in _Epic_.
- Work under the direction of the Nurse Manager or designee to coordinate the non-nursing/non-clinical activities essential to the effective functioning of the nursing unit.
- Requires a high degree of accuracy and strong communications skills.
