The company operates over 220 alternative fueling stations, specializing in clean fuel products such as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), Hydrogen Fuel, Renewable Diesel, Biodiesel and EV Fleet Charging. We offer our customers station design, build expertise, 24/7 operations, maintenance, grant writing and commercial assistance. This helps identify the clean fuel and power supply sources that work best for their fuel station with the core goal to ensure they have access to a steady supply of clean fuel, reliability, deployment timelines, sustainability goals and have a steady supply of clean fuel at predictable prices.

**BASIC PURPOSE**: The Purchasing Specialist will help execute all purchasing functions. Will work in tandem with cross-functional teams to ensure that every Vendor & SKU is onboarded, and ultimately ordered correctly. Fill follow processes set by the Distribution Center Manager, to maximize all opportunities.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Vendor Onboarding
SKU Onboarding

Data management

Last stop for a SKU build, before a PO is cut, and a price/program is locked.
Work with current cross-functional teams to get what is needed from a vendor and establish direct line of communication.

Process all purchasing requisitions, job orders, and project equipment/SKU’s to last mile delivery.
Reconcile vendor invoice for accuracy.
Create requests for quote for products, circulate to vendor, and assess for cost effectiveness.
Assist with order picking, packaging, and shipping, as needed.
Extensive interaction with internal and external departments, along with vendors
Execute and adhere to the set purchasing process, other department SOP’s and safety requirements.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Assist with inventory count, as needed.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Education**:
HS Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

**Experience**:
3 to 5 years of experience as a buyer, within retail or distribution setting is preferred, procurement is a plus.
Experience with inventory management is preferred.
Building business relationships and working with cross-functional teams.

Must be available to travel when needed (traveling by car for corporate meetings/outings).
