**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Interprets Board of Regents guidelines and state laws regarding residency status to students, parents and subordinates.
- Inform applicants and parents about classification procedures and policies regarding completeness of file, reasons for needing requested materials, timing of review process, justification needed for classification and final appeal process.
- Makes recommendations regarding changes to residency classification policy and procedures to Sr. Residency Classification Coordinator.
- Assists in composing forms and informational literature and in presenting orientation meetings for prospective students, parents or appeal committee members.
- Enters data on automated student information system to update student residency status.
- Compiles statistical reports to summarize program activities and goals for next year.
- Attends Orientations for new students and transfer students to explain residency.
- Meets with colleges and departments to explain residency.
- Assists Sr. Residency Coordinator as needed and is available on days coordinator is out of the office.
- Represents the University in appeals after a form has been denied.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience
