The Desktop Services Specialist will address technical issues to ensure a quick restoration of service or proper escalation. Provide desktop support for customers. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues including but not limited to computers, ‎printers, mobile devices, video conferencing, peripherals, remote technical assistance, and diagnostics. Develop documentation for the knowledgebase, change management and production readiness. Proactively support the day-to-day security of the desktop environment, including desktop operating systems, firewalls, antivirus, and software patching. Act as a resource specialist by providing guidance to lower-level staff.

**_This is a remote position Monday-Friday (8am -5pm EST)_**

**What We're Looking For**:

- Education and Experience Needed:_
- Associates Degree with concentration in computer related course work
- Two (2) years computer related work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience using desktop support troubleshooting tools
- Mobile device support experience
- Experience developing day-to-day computer support processes
- Microsoft Active Directory or other directory and permissions settings and administration experience
- In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience
- Preferred:_
- Two (2) years working in IT desktop support center with demonstrated experience with problem/incident identification and resolution, and research and development
- Skills Needed:_
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to:

- convey complex technical information to non-technical individuals at all levels
- recognize problem areas and propose necessary changes
- mediate between technical groups to obtain timely resolutions
- work well under pressure, facilitate solutions and meet deadlines and milestones
- Team building skills
