Assistant Transit Management Analyst I (TA): $65,954 - $78,079

Assistant Transit Management Analyst II (TA): $76,577 - $85,288

Associate Transit Management Analyst (TA): $86,565 - $112,083

**Responsibilities**:
They will prepare required written requests for new chemical and paint approvals by OSS due to acquisition of the R211 railcars and new work train projects. Participate in mandated audits of shop operations dealing with chemical/hazardous waste/environmental compliance conducted by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and OSS. Coordinate the Qualified Products List (QPL) recertification process for paint, cleaner, adhesive and other chemical products. Work in this area includes producing QPL recertification forms for each product involved, contacting/writing to manufacturers advising them of need to recertify these products for the QPL via these forms, collecting the signed forms from manufacturers, and maintaining a QPL recertification database for these items (includes product names, stock #s, QPL recertification dates, when next scheduled QPL recertification is due). Sampling parts washing tanks at various DCE shop locations. Process invoice payments.

Education and Experience:
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II:

- A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.

Associate Transit Management Analyst:

- A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry.

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations and OSHA rules.
- Familiar with chemical names and terms.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or chemical engineer preferred.
- Excellent PC Skills which include familiarity with and experience in the development and use of excel, spreadsheets and Microsoft Word documents.
- Demonstrate knowledge of environmental management.
- Strong problem-solving analytical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
