The Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) was established in 1927. Its mission is to improve working conditions for California's wage earners and to advance opportunities for profitable employment in California. DIR administers and enforces laws governing wages, workplace safety and health, apprenticeship training programs, and medical care and other benefits for injured workers.

Special Requirements
- The position(s) require(s) fluency in the Spanish language. If the State of California does not have a current record documenting your fluency in this language, you will be required to successfully pass an approved language fluency test prior to being hired.
- The incumbent will communicate to clients in Spanish language. The incumbent will need to pass the State Bilingual Exam. The incumbent spend the majority of the time working both remotely and at their assigned District office, with occasional travel to other offices. The District Office is an air conditioned, office building with natural and artificial lighting, and standard office equipment. Remote supervision of staff is an essential part of this position. Regular travel may be required.
