In this role you will lead the Business Sponsored Retirement Center, within the Business Resource Center (BRC), and will direct and oversee the group’s strategic and long-range planning function for efforts related to Qualified and Non-Qualified Planning opportunities. Working with team members within the BRC, including technical benefits staff, and multiple departments within Guardian and Park Avenue Securities (PAS) will be essential. This role will serve all Guardian agencies, with a focus on ELITE producer, and will pay particular attention to supporting the sale of pension whole life and have familiarity with all the funding products such as individual annuities group annuities and mutual funds.

To provide such advice and consultation, the incumbent must:
- Develop and implement long-term, strategic growth models and set profitability goals.- Prospect for and develop new relationships with financial representatives and agencies within the Guardian network to drive non-qualified and qualified plan sales opportunities.- Perform high level case consultation as it relates to estate, business succession, non-qualified and qualified plans, asset protection, charitable planning, premium financing, and the taxation of life insurance and annuities.- Assist with non-qualified planning case opportunities ranging from estate planning, business succession planning, family, and social legacy planning, as well as nonqualified executive benefits.- Identify external relationships such as RIA and Independent Brokers to drive non-qualified and qualified plan sales opportunities.- Possess a comprehensive knowledge of estate, business succession, non-qualified executive benefit programs, asset protection, charitable planning, premium financing, and the taxation of life insurance and annuities.- Be an educator so that producers can effectively convey planning recommendations to prospects and clients, and to educate a client’s professional tax and legal advisors on concepts and techniques that they may not be familiar with.- Be a collaborator working as a member of a team that may include the producer, client and the client’s tax and legal advisors.- Collaborate with key partners enterprise-wide to facilitate “one-stop shopping” for producers in efforts to ease the process of conducting business and to ensure complete and thorough case analysis to discover all planning and business opportunities.-
- Act as coach and mentor to producers to help them to increase their knowledge and confidence when interacting with target clients.-
- Possess complete knowledge and understanding of Guardian’s “protection first” philosophy.- Be an effective partner with the producer by thoroughly understanding the roles, responsibilities, opportunities, challenges and mentality of a producer.

You will- Develop strategic sales initiatives that support the group’s long-term growth/profitability goals and generate revenue along all appropriate product lines-
- Create Virtual Boot Camp training programs, developing marketing campaigns focused on qualified and non-qualified plans, building the field’s knowledge bank and creating expertise in the business markets that agencies can recruit to.- Collaborate with key departments and experts in product and planning issues.- Provide pre-sale case consultation support for both qualified and non-qualified planning opportunities to Guardian agency managers, insurance agents, financial representatives and brokers.- Provide thought leadership and impact as part of industry events to heighten the awareness of Guardian and the BRC

You have- 15+ years in the financial services fields, including split dollar, deferred compensation and executive bonus plans, as well as experience working in the small plan market with DB plans, traditional, fully insured and cash balance.- College degree (with emphasis on business, law, economics, financial services or accounting or equivalent work experience.- Industry designations (e.g., CLU, ChFC, etc.) combined with actual advanced markets and production experience highly desirable.- Experience in all aspects of qualified and non-qualified plan design and implementation, including DB/DC plans, deferred compensation arrangements, split dollar plans, executive bonus plans, Death Benefit Only plans, and Phantom Stock plans- Strong knowledge of life insurance products and the use of life insurance in non-qualified and qualified plans.- Detailed knowledge of pension administration, taxation of distributions and estate planning ramifications.- The ability to communicate complicated concepts in a simple way, work with attorneys and CPAs and give affective presentations.- The ability to explain the taxation clearly and concisely, legal, and financial/cost aspects of various sales opportunities in the personal, business, estate and retirement planning markets.- Proven ability to explain advanced sales concepts, incorporating financial analysis where appropriate.- Con
