**We are searching for a Lead Ophthalmic Technician to add to our team in Des Plaines, Skokie and Libertyville. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, that will travel with the physician and support the above offices.**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The lead technician is responsible for the day-to-day flow of the physician and his or her clinic.

The responsibilities of a lead technician include:

- Managing the flow of patients in and out of physician exam room, assisting floor technicians as needed.
- Being a resource to the front desk staff regarding questions and managing potential add on patients.
- Traveling to different clinic locations as required by the physician’s schedule.
- Calling patients to adjust appointment times/days
- Fill out FMLA paperwork for the patients of your physician.
- Respond to telephone encounters and document/ imaging requests in a timely manner.
- Interacting with patients and assisting in their needs or answering their questions as needed, medication management.
- Bringing medical supplies and medication to appropriate clinics.
- Assist in the filling/refilling of patient prescriptions under guidance of physician
- Assist with clinic procedures and imagery as needed
- Coordinate floor technicians to best fit the needs of clinic on a given day.
- Attend lead technician meetings to collaborate on status of and changes to clinic protocol, manage a fast pace environment.
- Be a resource to your physician and adapt to unforeseen issues while in clinic.

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
