**We are seeking a Mid Shift Environmental Services Site Safety Manager at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX.**:
The Site Safety Manager will direct, oversee and manage all aspects of the Xanitos safety program including but not limited safety training, compliance, accident/near miss reporting, accident investigation, root cause analysis, the return to work process, safety observations, safety accountability, safety culture, safety engagement and safety recognition. In this position the Site Safety Manager will work directly with the injured employees, their managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure a supported and timely return to work. The Claims Manager will also be directly responsible for the management of employee and third-party workplace claims and investigations.

This position requires the collaborative support of colleagues at all levels of the site account.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the company’s return to work program at the assigned locations to the highest level of excellence to ensure that an experience of care and compassion is integrated with the company’s culture of safely helping save lives. This includes the administration of the company’s return to work program, including direct liaison with employees who are unable to work due to a workplace injury.
- Liaise directly with occupational clinics and healthcare providers regarding the Xanitos return to work program and employee work restrictions.
- Engage with the Company’s risk management team and TPA regarding administration of company’s workers compensation claims on a daily, ongoing basis.
- Complete all incident investigation reports for compliance with company and industry investigation best practices, including accident root cause analysis, corrective practices and retraining opportunities.
- Evaluate near miss, incident, and accident trends and provide detailed statistical analysis to local, regional, and executive leadership on a frequent basis.
- Liaise with HR to ensure compliance with company leave policies for injured workers.
- Conduct onsite visits and safety audits to ensure facility is maintaining compliance with regulatory safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot workplace specific safety, accident, and liability cases and provide viable recommendations for preventing or controlling these issues.
- Manage the compliance of web-based and in person safety training.
- Identify opportunities, assess risk, conduct investigations, and monitor compliance with a broad group of governmental regulatory agencies (e.g., DOH, TJC, OSHA, Cal OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
- Cultivate and maintain effective partnerships with operational leadership to support business development and foster a strong safety culture and develop sustaining sponsorship for Safety and Risk Management initiatives.
- Manage the safety committees and employee safety recognition program.
- Monitor safety accountability practices to ensure that appropriate actions are being taken in response to unsafe behavior including retraining, education, remedial environmental action, and/or disciplinary action.
- Track safety committee compliance, conduct safety observations.
- Audit and monitor all aspects of the workplace for safety risks.
- Provide support and recommendations to enhance the employee experience and engagement with safety including safety surveys.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with local leadership.
