**VEG ASSISTANT MANAGER**

As a veg assistant manager at Haven your role will be pivotal in ensuring the team and processes/SOP/work execution produce optimized plants at one of our modern facilities dedicated to pushing the limits of cannabis cultivation. If you are passionate about science and cannabis cultivation and are looking for a fulfilling and challenging career, this is the place for you. This leadership role gets to do both hands-on work and management. The assistant veg manager is responsible for all plants being maintained in their optimal range of atmosphere and rootzone conditions, and ensuring plant work tasks are completed on schedule and to achieve the desired outcomes.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead the team (with the help of the veg manager) by example with regards to professionalism, timeliness, work pace, being proactive, improving your cultivation knowledge and skill sets, following directions, adapting to new practices, minimizing mistakes, reliability, accountability, and positive attitude. The veg manager and assistant veg manager together push a high standard that floats the level of their department and the organization.
- Be the best at executing every plant work and maintenance work task (outside of the veg manager). For example, you would be the best at making clones, watering clones, pruning/pinching moms, checking runoff pH and EC, etc. Being the best means execution of the task with precision, accomplishment of the goal of the task, and also efficiency.
- Train team members on the cultivation tasks (hence why the veg assistant manager needs to be the best at doing each task).
- Supervise that the tasks are executed properly, on time, and efficiently by the team.
- Be aware of every plant and piece of equipment in the veg operations, what their current conditions are, and what they need immediately and over the coming days and months.
- Work with the veg manager and veg technicians to maintain plants in their optimal atmosphere and rootzone environment every day of their life.
- Prevent and catch mistakes.
- Prioritize the tasks of the team throughout the day and week.

**KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS**
- What the environmental variables of the atmosphere and rootzone are that affect the plants, how different ranges of each affect the plants, and how to control all the above variables.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to convert between units of measurement.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in controlled environment agriculture (greenhouse or indoor).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand/walk constantly.
- Lift/carry at least 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Twist/turn and reach with hand/arms.
- Climb, balance or stoop.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
