**THE POSITION**:

**DESCRIPTION OF WORK**:

- In this role, you will function as a para-professional located in the Transactions and Payroll Section, Department of Corrections Human Resource Office. You will be focusing on overseeing the absence and attendance administration for assigned areas within the HR Office while functioning as the FMLA liaison for the assigned areas. You will be working closely with the Pennsylvania Parole Board (PB), Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (SOAB), Office of Victim Advocate (OVA), Bureau of Community Corrections (BCC), and Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) serving as their time advisor. Work includes providing guidance to timekeepers, contacting supervisors to convey appropriate practices and procedures for payroll processing, handling employee leave quotas, and processing wage advancements when appropriate. You will have the opportunity to maintain and establish working relationships with supervisors and timekeepers to ensure seamless processing of absence and attendance adjustments.

**Work Schedule and Additional Information**:

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- ** Telework**:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg.
- ** Salary**:_ _**In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Minimum Experience and Training Requirements**:

- One year of experience as a Human Resource Assistant 1; **or**:

- Two years of clerical or other comparable experience, one year of which involved performance of limited technical duties in the field of human resource work; **or**:

- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

**Other Requirements**:
