We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Gatto Industrial Platers. The Shipping Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our shipping department. This position is responsible for planning local truck routes for the pick-up and delivery of customer orders and ensuring the efficient movement of products to and from our facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and optimize local truck routes for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Process customer paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Review incoming and outgoing orders for damage or discrepancies
- Ensure the warehouse floor and dock areas are organized and maintained
- Handle any additional tasks related to the shipping and receiving of products

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a dispatching, shipping or logistics role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, Word & Excel
- Knowledge of e-commerce shipping processes is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Familiarity with order picking and package handling procedures
- Ability to operate forklifts, and pallet jacks is a plus

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 per week
