**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in the daily operations of our museum. This pivotal role contributes to our mission of inspiring and engaging the public through art, educational programs, and community events.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the overall management of museum operations, including staff supervision, project management, and policy implementation.
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure the smooth execution of exhibitions, public programs, and special events.
- Oversee budget management, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the local community to enhance the museum's profile and support.
- Implement strategic plans alongside the General Manager and Board of Directors.
- Address operational issues promptly, devising effective solutions to enhance visitor experience.
- Represent the museum at community and industry events, fostering partnerships that align with our strategic goals.
**Qualifications**:
- At least 2 years of experience in museum or non-profit management, with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
- A passion for contemporary art and a commitment to promoting arts and culture within the community.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
