Cultivation Technician

The Cultivation Technician reports directly to the Farm General Manager, as well as Flower/Veg House Manager, and is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company’s cultivation operation from seedling to harvest. The Cultivation Technician must have working knowledge in marijuana cultivation and must adhere to the policies and procedures of the company and ensure compliance with all state and local laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Performs plant and crop maintenance using standard procedures including but not limited to, cloning, transplanting, potting, fertilizing, trimming, irrigation, and pest management in adherence to cannabis laws and regulations.
- Maintaining all feeding, watering and pH logs, resolving any discrepancies or problems immediately.
- Checking plants daily for evidence of mold, or pests and taking immediate actions to mitigate any negative findings.
- Documenting daily cultivation.
- Preparation of soil mixes for planting of seed, plugs, rooted cuttings and seedlings.
- Maintain a clean environment to include removing and disposing of all cannabis waste, cleaning and sanitizing all rooms and tools, and adherence to cultivation master sanitation schedule.
- Assists with collection of data for reporting on plant health metrics as well as ongoing research and development.
- Performs all tasks set by management in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knows, understands and applies fundamental principles of cultivation SOP and sanitation in a practical manner. Manages daily tasks to SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

**Skills**:

- Proven ability in proficiency in cultivation tasks: cloning, harvesting, transplanting, pruning, trellising, sanitizing, waste disposal, pest scouting, fertilizer barrel mixing, plant health analytics, and proper hydration
- Exceptional attention to detail; commitment to product quality, initiative to learn new skills, maintain satisfactory attendance, successful conflict resolution skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Understands the fundamental principles of cultivation, integrated pest management, sanitation and applies them in a practical manner.
- Knowledge and understanding of cannabis regulations

**Requirements**:

- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Cannabis certification is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule
- Must work as a team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately
- Ability to follow instructions, effectively communicate with team members
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds;
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday;
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time;
- Must comply with state regulations and guidelines
- Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) to prevent contamination and abide by personal hygiene standards at all times
- Must be able to multi-task, working quickly and efficiently to meet production needs.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
