OveThe Business Development Manager is accountable for maintaining sales coverage and developing the market for Wesco products and services within an assigned geographical territory an extensive traveling; for collaborating with Inside/Outside Sales and branch offices in support of building and maintaining sales; and incorporating Wesco sales initiatives, policies and programs in support of business plans and strategic objectives.

Qualifications - External
- BA or BS degree in Marketing, Engineering or Business is preferred ; or a combination of relevant education and experience
- 5 years minimum Aerospace Industry Outside Sales experience; or 5 years Wesco Inside Sales experience required
- Current contacts and working relationships within the aerospace/industrial market
- Demonstrated basic to intermediate knowledge of Wesco customers, product lines and sales initiatives
- Proven knowledge of industry materials and specification requirements
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of industry materials and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Clear and accurate documentation skills
- Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand market presence
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet customer needs
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, including negotiating contracts and pricing
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth
- Utilize CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and generate reports
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to provide strategic insights and recommendations

**Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred
- Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles
- Strong strategic planning and project management skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
- Experience in software or technology industry is highly desirable
- Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems, such as Salesforce
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
