**General Summary**:
Providing administrative support to the Business Development Group

**Principle Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Quoting.
- Log RFQ’s into SharePoint
- Initiate quote sheet to begin quoting process.
- Prepare quote letters.
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of quote information in SharePoint.
- Communication of Monthly Surcharge Rates and Pricing Letters
- Collection of sales data and maintenance of the sales forecast
- Preparation of sales report and forecast (monthly, quarterly, and year-end review)
- Assist in BDG’s maintaining, auditing and meeting the TS-16949 standard.
- Preparation of sales analysis on a project-by-project basis including pricing, margin, product family, trend, and market
- Perform research of targeted markets, product families, and customers as directed.
- Prepare and maintain supply and demand matrices.
- Preparation of letters, sales and marketing presentations
- Answering of phones
- Maintaining of files
- Maintaining of mass mailing lists (i.e. shutdown letters, Christmas cards, calendars, etc.) and preparation of mailings
- Monitoring of BDG schedules
- Monitoring, ordering and stocking BDG supplies.
- Preparation of overnight packages
- Receipt and distribution of customer correspondence and RFQ’s within the MTI organization.
- Review of BDG expense reports for accuracy and completeness
- Work with the Vice President of Sales on day-to-day issues affecting the BDG.
- Assist BDG as needed to meet customer and internal demands.

**Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements**:

- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals within MTI and the customer base.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and B&L Information Software as applies to the BDG.
- Able to manage multiple tasks at a time.
- Understands and can meet deadline-oriented business transactions.
- Team player

Working Conditions
- The Sales Assistant will reside in the office the majority of the day.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- Must be able to move about inside the office, access file cabinets etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculator, copy machine and printer.
- Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Five years administrative experience in foundry, machining, or automotive industries.
- Formal training and certification in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
