Administrative Generalist

Working Hours/Days: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm - Monday - Friday, overtime as needed. Basic Duties:

- Greet visitors and ask them to sign in
- Answer calls coming into the switchboard, determine the nature of business before forwarding the call and route accordingly
- Take and deliver messages or transfer calls to appropriate personnel.
- Sign for deliveries (i.e. FedEx, Overnight Packages/Envelopes, etc) and
- Take lead with mailroom responsibilities and a variety of administrative duties.
- Assist other departments with mailings or projects
- Answer questions about Altorfer Ind. and provide guidance regarding directions and other information.
- Provide exceptional service to customers and employees while providing constant support of Store Manager's direction and leadership.
- As needed work closely with Parts management to assist as needed with limited parts transactions as a backfill for the back order / parts admin roles and special projects
- As needed additional recordkeeping i.e., employee vacation and sick leave, individual safety accounts and other duties as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to join and support the existing team while sharing common goals and values.
- Computer literate and proficient with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook required.
- Applicant should be detail oriented and goal driven.
- Must be well organized, creative team-player with initiative that responds well to challenges.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. There may be times when you may need to go out into the service shop or warehouse area and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields). The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
