A part-time Special Education Teacher specializing in behavior support is sought for an elementary school setting in Manassas, VA. This contract position covers the full 25/26 school year and offers the opportunity to work closely with students demonstrating behavioral challenges within a special education classroom. Key Responsibilities: Deliver targeted educational services to 6-10 elementary students with behavioral needs. Manage classroom behaviors effectively to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with school staff to implement individualized education plans. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports on student development. Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Qualifications: Valid Virginia Teaching License. Demonstrated experience working with and managing behaviors in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, families, and colleagues. Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs. Additional Information: The teacher will receive dedicated support from a Special Education Advisor during the first six months of the assignment to ensure success.
