A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year at a middle school located in Radford, VA. This contract role requires a professional dedicated to supporting students with diverse learning needs in both resource and general education classrooms. Responsibilities include providing push-in support to a caseload of 15-16 students within the general education setting, as well as delivering specialized instruction in the resource classroom. The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments tailored to individual student goals. Managing individualized education plans (IEPs), assessing student progress, and maintaining detailed documentation are essential components of this role. Key qualifications and desired experience: Valid teaching certification with specialization in Special Education Experience working with middle school-aged students in inclusive classroom environments Knowledge of effective instructional strategies for students with disabilities Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and organizational skills Location: Radford, Virginia (Middle school setting). This contract position offers 37.5 hours per week for the duration of the current school year.
