Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Business Analyst for their Vancouver, Washington location. This position will provide support for projects under the Transmission Engineering and Technical Services Programs by providing recommendations to business stakeholders and facilitating the gathering and analysis of information using standard tools and approaches to: help clarify business operations, functions, perform gap analysis, document/map the current and future states, identify solution alternatives, evaluate the alternatives, and define processes

*Pay Range*: $45.00 - $51.00/HR

*Location: *Hybrid in Vancouver, WA (2 days onsite per week)

*Key Responsibilities for Business Analyst:*

_*Support business stakeholders by gathering and analyzing information to:*_
* Clarify business operations, functions, and problems.
* Document current and future states.
* Identify and evaluate solution alternatives and define procedures.
* Facilitate large teams in problem-solving and identifying improvement opportunities using methodologies like Kanban.
* Perform organizational maturity analysis, assess gaps, and draft maturity roadmaps based on management goals and objectives.

_*Data analytics:*_
* Identify data needs and work with system experts to extract information for informed decision-making.
* Compile, analyze, and manipulate data to support reporting requirements, and prepare professional-quality materials for review.
* Analyze data and propose solutions or methods for managerial review.
* Summarize and present data in a non-technical manner for various audiences.
* Support the development and recommendation of tools for organizational alignment and strategic content.
* Collaborate with SMEs and teams to perform root cause analysis and apply improvement strategies.

_*Project and document management:*_
* Support projects by tracking status, reporting progress, and coordinating recordkeeping.
* Assist in designing and maintaining SharePoint sites.
* Provide input on schedules and plans, emphasizing analysis-related activities.
* Handle analytical tasks, including requirements definition, validation, and supporting documentation.
* Support planning, development, and implementation of approved initiatives and projects.
* Mark documents and maintain filing systems according to compliance and security standards.

_*Process documentation:*_
* Document business processes and procedures.
* Assist in developing process flows to accompany documentation.
* Support the creation of key project deliverables, including requirements and process diagrams.
* Develop documentation to validate repeatability, facilitate training, and support business continuity.
* Participate in sessions to analyze and document current and future state processes.
* Draft and review requirements documentation, recommend priorities, and obtain user signoff.

*Requirements for Business Analyst: *
* A degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Computer Science, Organizational Development (or a closely related field) is preferred.
* With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of experience is required.
* With an applicable Associates degree, 7 years of experience is required.
* Without an applicable degree, 9 years of experience is required.
* Experience should be consistent with the specific requirements of business analysis, progressively more technical in nature, and include work-related experience as a business analyst, systems analyst, project manager, QA analyst or equivalent
* Intermediate to expert proficiency in Visio, including the ability to create complex flowcharts.
* Intermediate proficiency with SharePoint, including the ability to create lists, modify pages and familiarity with workflow.
