Information reported by the background check will not automatically disqualify you from employment.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:The Program Director of Talent Acquisition & Management leads the talent acquisition strategy and resource management activities within ARLIS. The TAM Director leads all recruiting efforts for ARLIS and ensures processes and procedures are scalable to support growth while tracking and leveraging existing talent to support internal mobility and opportunity. The TAM Director ensures ARLIS has the appropriate recruiting and onboarding systems to meet ARLIS business needs while fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The TAM Director remains informed regarding current labor/talent markets, including cleared talent, in addition to relevant UMD policies and procedures, employment laws, regulations, and industry trends, providing advice and guidance to ARLIS leadership ensuring compliance with legal requirements in all aspects of talent acquisition and management.Benefits SummaryTop Benefits and Perks: Exempt Benefits Summary Minimum Qualifications:Education:Bachelor’s Degree.Experience:10+ years in a Talent Acquisition leadership role.Proven track record of building, scaling, and managing high-performing Talent teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.Strong track record as both a Talent Acquisition expert and Talent Acquisition team leader.Experience managing resource plans on large programs.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Comfortable with change management and adapting to the evolving needs of a growing organization.Comfortable presenting in front of large groups.Experience developing and facilitating Interview training.Experience developing and implementing new employee orientation programs and retention plans Understand government contracting and recruiting cleared technical talent.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into actionable Talent strategies and initiatives.Able to establish metrics and track activity that influences business decisions.Strong computer skills to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.Experience working with ATS and HRIS tools.Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD clearance.Preferences:Preferences:Master’s Degree.Familiar with Workday.University experience.Experience establishing sourcing strategies for cleared technical talent.Familiar with federal Uniform Guidance, Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and/or University Affiliated Research Centers (UARC).Have an active government clearance.Additional Certifications:Additional Information:Job RisksNot Applicable to This PositionPhysical DemandsSedentary work performed in a normal office environment; exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
