Product Owner

This is an in-office position working out of our Corporate Headquarters location in Johnston, RI. Remote flexibility is available up to 2 days per week depending on business needs.
This position is not offering relocation.
As a Product Owner at FM, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and innovate in building and managing collaboration tools and platforms used by our global user base. You will be at the forefront of driving and delivering valuable products, co-creating outstanding experiences, and representing the interests of our customers and key business partners.
A. Product Management
As part of this role, you will be responsible for leading a team with different areas of expertise, guaranteeing the delivery of high-quality product features and capabilities that are in line with our company's priorities, product vision, and roadmap. You will work closely with subject matter specialists and operational staff to understand the product's needs and opportunities. Additionally, you will engage with stakeholders and users, attend product team meetings, and coordinate delivery, training, and support strategies.
B. Delivery Management
As a Product Owner, you will define the minimum viable product (MVP) and team backlog grooming, prioritization, and refinement. Owning the technology product vision, you will set clear goals and success metrics while translating the product vision into actionable features and tactics. Working closely with product teams, you will clarify customer requirements, remove roadblocks, and ensure alignment around feature or product strategy. Your ability to break down commitments into achievable work will be key to successful delivery.
C. Managing Relationships with Key Individuals
In this role, you will lead the product delivery of defined scope, partnering with operations users, subject matter experts, and business teams to ensure clear user stories and remove barriers for team members. Acting as the "voice of the customer," you will develop, review, and approve all product user stories and lead the product demo for the product user panel. Your input and feedback in team retrospectives will be instrumental in validating quality and improving team processes.
D. Leadership & Influence
As a leader, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 7 direct reports. Your role will be crucial in influencing our customers and product teams. You will work closely with various teams to prioritize dependencies and ensure their successful implementation. By considering valuable feedback from different sources, you will make informed decisions and negotiate tradeoffs. Your prompt and efficient service to both internal and external customers will be highly valued.
5-10 years of experience in business, product management, software development, technology, and/or consulting.
Microsoft 365 admin experience required.
Knowledge of Commercial property insurance is highly preferred.

- Strong commercial insurance knowledge with the ability to influence others and build consensus.
- Deep business expertise or experience supporting business domains.

- Technologically savvy with the ability to deliver business value.
- Intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
The hiring range for this position is $130,700 to $187,800. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience. The position is eligible to participate in FM's comprehensive Total Rewards program that includes an incentive plan, generous health, and well-being programs, a 401(k) and pension plan, career development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, flexible work, time off allowances and much more.
