Position: Director - Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily operation of the Human Resources Departments to include, but not be limited to,
employment, recruitment, records, compensation and benefits, data collection and reporting, policy development, and interpretation,
and employee health.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates the three service excellence competencies.
  • Meets the organization's expectations regarding house-wide requirements.
  • Demonstrates leadership in the provision of departmental services through a collaborative process designed to integrate services/functions throughout NWTHS. Directs daily operations and activities of the Human Resources department.
  • Exhibits effective leadership skills through planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating departmental functions in relation to the UHS and the NWTHS vision, mission, strategic goals and values and in accordance with JCAHO's leadership standards.
  • Operates departments of responsibility in such a way as to meet the fiscal goals of the organization. Implements value added programs and services. Manages the satisfaction of department customers to include patients, employees and physicians through effective communication and appropriate responsiveness to customer issues.

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:
  • A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field, Master's Degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years in a Human Resources area, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Experience supervising 10+ employees.
  • PHR/SPHR strongly preferred

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

1. Ability to read and write in English
2. Ability to speak and hear, to allow discussions with employees and peers.
3. Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress
4. Ability to respond to pages
5. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions
6. Bending and lifting (5-10 lbs), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling.
7. Ability to understand and interpret financial data
