Epic Cupid Cardiology Analyst
We are seeking an EpicCare Order Entry Analyst to work in our transition to our new EHR system. The EpicCare Order Entry Analyst is to support the design, build, configuration, testing, implementation, and optimization of the EpicCare Order Entry module and related functionalities, including Provider documentation and Bugsy Infection control. This role involves conducting workflow analysis, customizing the module to meet clinical and operational requirements, and providing training and support to end-users. The analyst will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, creating detailed documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance.
Must be available to travel for training the week of 3/31/2025
Primary Function:
- Lead the planning, design, build, validation, and deployment phases of the Epic Cupid module.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other cardiology staff to gather requirements and ensure the system meets their needs.
- Customize the Cupid module to align with the clinical and operational requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Perform system configuration, including setting up cardiology workflows, documentation processes, and integration with other Epic modules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize the use of the Cupid module.
- Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the system meets quality and performance standards before go-live.
- Develop training materials and participate in training sessions for end-users, including cardiologists, nurses, and administrative staff.
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the system post-implementation, addressing user issues and concerns promptly
- Facilitate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field preferred
- 2 - 3 years of experience working with Epic systems or Epic Cupid implementations in a healthcare setting
- High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
- Epic Cupid Certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing mandatory Epic training sessions.
- You must be available to attend the mandatory Epic training session in Wisconsin in early Spring 2025. This training is crucial for providing you with the knowledge and skills needed for your role.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
- Strong understanding of non-invasive cardiology workflows and EP lab workflows
- Understanding of how the cardiology department interacts operationally with other areas of the organization, such as ordering physicians, the billing office, and medical records.
- Understanding of the integration or interfaces between Cupid, the CPACS, and your speech recognition or dictation systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with project management and delivering projects on time and within scope.
