We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Employee Benefits Account Manager Assistant to join our team. This role supports the Account Manager in managing a book of business, focusing on employee benefits accounts. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Client Support: Assist in managing client relationships by providing day-to-day support and addressing client inquiries related to employee benefits.
- Data Management: Maintain and update client information, benefits plans, and documentation in our database systems accurately and promptly.
- Policy Administration: Support the Account Manager in the administration of employee benefits policies, including enrollments, renewals, and claims processing.
- Communication: Prepare and distribute communications to clients regarding benefits plans, changes, and updates.
- Meeting Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings between clients and the Account Manager, including preparation of necessary materials and follow-up.
- Documentation: Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required by the Account Manager.
- Research: Conduct research on benefits trends, compliance requirements, and competitor offerings to support client strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Assist in resolving client issues related to benefits administration promptly and effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or a related field.
- Employee Benefit Knowledge: Must have a thorough understanding of benefits and benefits processing, including medical, dental, vision, Long-Term Disability, Short-Term Disability, Life, Voluntary Worksite Products, Long-Term Care, Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Flexible Spending Account, Health Savings Account, Health Reimbursement Account, COBRA, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other related areas.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with benefits administration systems and tools is a plus.
