*NOTE this is a full time position.
What You'll Do:
- Be a trusted advisor to management, providing in-depth expertise on all aspects of employee relations.
- Partner with the Office of General Counsel (OGC) to prepare compelling case documentation for administrative panels (EEOC, MSPB).
- Proactively identify potential legal risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Analyze pending performance and disciplinary actions, offering a legally sound assessment. This requires experience with federal employment law, including recent case law, relevant CFR and USC requirements, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Guide managers through disciplinaries and performance actions, ensuring adherence to Title 5 of the CFR and agency-specific policies.
- Stay ahead of the curve by keeping management informed of industry trends and best practices in performance and disciplinary management.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on employee relations matters.
Who We're Looking For:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in federal government employee relations.
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- You possess excellent analytical and research skills.
- You have a strong understanding of federal employment law and regulations.
- You are a clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal.
- You are a team player with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
