- Create and maintain purchase orders and all activity associated from quote to invoice
- Work closely with warehouse and accounting personnel to avoid any inventory and invoice discrepancies
- Manage and maintain proper business relationships with assigned suppliers
- Maintains proper inventory levels on assigned commodities based on forecast requirement minimizing excess and aging inventory
- Responsible for reviewing open orders with suppliers to resolve supplier related questions/issues
- Maintains accurate control of purchase orders, amendments, shipping notices and other related documents for your assigned category components
- Maintain and analyze existing inventory forecast models and related metrics
- Work within identified KPIs such as past due purchase orders, purchase order accuracy, shortage and excess percentages
- Analyze monthly spend and reports to manager
- Identify and implement process improvements with manager to increase efficiency and accuracy within roles and responsibility parameters
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, or advanced degree with equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a buying or purchasing function with Supply Chain background (Computer Manufacturing or Electronic
- Manufacturing industry preferred)
- Basic understanding of procurement principles and practices
- Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and interact with vendors effectively in a professional manner
- Ability to effectively partner with cross functional internal teams, and with various organizational levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Analytical problem solving with an ability to multi-task
- Experience in data analysis and reporting skills
- Proactive, positive, deliberate, and focused thinking
- Self-motivated
- Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Experience with Tableaux (preferred but not required)
- SAP Experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be a good communicator and team player
- Organized and able to meet deadlines and work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to Multi-task
