An amazing number, but we’re always looking for new ways to continue making a difference, and new people to make a difference with.The opportunityTeva is searching for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our NeuroPsychiatry sales team in the Bay Area Region. The RSM will be responsible for achieving and delivering results in a compliant and ethical manner. The RSM will possess an understanding of organizational objectives and align resources appropriately to meet those objectives. While pursuing their goals, the incumbent will uphold the culture and values of Teva in all interactions and business matters. They will analyze trends and apply knowledge to help the sales team accomplish its sales goals. Additionally, the RSM will effectively and efficiently plan and complete all business activities via aligned objectives and analytics and will maximize available resources. The RSM will build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial networks/relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The RSM will possess impactful and influential communication and presentation skills and keep the objective in mind while moving the sales team towards a solution.ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY The following areas of responsibility are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbent. Any nonessential functions are assumed to be included in other related duties or assignments. Identify, recruit, coach, and retain top talent for the Teva NeuroPsychiatry sales teamDevelop expertise and coach others on regional business focus areas, including settings of care, payer and pull through opportunities, and flawless execution of the marketing strategy Develop effective business plans to meet and exceed regional sales goalsCoach/train others on different settings of care to identify key business opportunitiesDemonstrate a collaborative sales approach and coordinate efforts between sales leadership, other Teva sales teams, market access, sales operations, and trainingAdhere to all Teva compliance guidelines, operate with integrity, and ensure the sales team adheres to these policiesReview weekly/monthly data reports to identify trends and make plans to address concernsCoach teams on the execution of the defined call plan for each territory representative Coach teams towards success from hire date onward, providing appropriate counseling, encouragement, and oversight to ensure effective execution of brand strategySpend 90+ days in the field, supporting local sales representativesThis region has a total of 8 territories. Major cities include San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Sacramento, San Bernardino, San Fernando, Santa Barbara, and Reno, NV.Your experience and qualificationsAny equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered. Education/Certification/ExperienceBachelor's degree required Minimum five years pharmaceutical sales experience, pharmaceutical management experience or equivalent headquarters experience.A record of successfully achieving goals and coaching, and developing effective teams requiredSkills/Knowledge/AbilitiesAbility to interact with customers in live and virtual environments and proficiency with technology Understanding of reimbursement coverage and pull through strategies as well as experience in all pertinent settings of business (CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice)Proven written and verbal communication skills Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required Level of the role will be commensurate to years of experience and performance criteria: Regional Sales Manager – 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience, pharmaceutical management experience or equivalent headquarters experience.Senior Regional Sales Manager – 10 years pharmaceutical sales experience, 5 years sales management experience or equivalent headquarters experienceAdditionally, U.S. new hires for customer facing roles will be required to complete all credentialing requirements for access to their customers’ targets within 60 days of their start date.  Such credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, additional vaccinations and medical testing.  Any request for an exception to the credentialing requirements will need to be approved by the national sales leader within the first 60 days of employment.TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSExtensive travel throughout the assigned region, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel.Compensation DataThe annual starting salary for this position is between $140,000 and $215,000 annually.
